The manufacturer recommends having your unit serviced annually to ensure proper operation and requires annual cleanings to maintain warranty. Relined or stainless steel chimneys also require annual inspections/servicing to maintain warranty and reduce your chance of chimney fires.

Please clean all pellets out of Hopper before cleaning. Pellets should not be kept in Hopper over summer due to moisture accumulation.
**If determined to be necessary to power clean a chimney at initial inspection, servicemen will prepare chimney for drying out of creosote and note that chimney cleaning will need rescheduled in August 2009. Customer will be billed $50 minimum trip charge plus labor time at $60/hour/technician.
Terms and Limitations: 1) Rates are based on typical amount of time to complete such service. Extended labor time will be billed at $60/hour/technician. 2) For liability reasons, AES Hearthplace requires all appliances and chimneys to meet state, local and National Fireplace Protection Agency codes and requirements. All services start with an inspection. If appliance installation does not meet code a fee of $50 will be collected and an estimate to bring appliance to code will be provided for your approval. 3) If appliance requires repair, technician will provide cost estimate of service for your approval.
